Henan Geological and Mineral Bureau found 26 large-scale mineral deposits

During the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” period, the Henan Provincial Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources arranged and deployed the “Geological Prospecting Action Plan of Henan Province” in accordance with the “358” of the Ministry of Land and Resources, focused on the promotion of major project construction and vigorously implemented ore-breaking breakthrough strategic actions. Excellent results have been achieved in both internal and external geological exploration, and 56 new large-scale ore deposits have been discovered or discovered. Among them, the submission of coal reserves amounted to 8 large-scale coal mining areas and 22 large-scale coal field fields, and 175.4 billion tons of coal resources were detected and upgraded; 26 newly discovered metal and non-metallic mineral production sites reached the scale of large-scale and above. In addition, major breakthroughs have been made in the exploration of clean energy minerals. The shale gas exploration in Wenxian County of Henan Province preliminarily determined that the favorable target area in the southeast of the Wenxian Block is 55.8 square kilometers, and the geological resources of shale gas is predicted to be 5.74 billion cubic meters and the recoverable resources is 1.44 billion cubic meters. The exploration of shale gas in Henan Province delineated five favorable target areas for shale gas, and the shale gas from the first page of the Well 1 proved that there was a 147-meter shale gas horizon. Preliminary industrial tests confirmed that the shale gas reserves are considerable, marking the first time in China in North China. Land and sea interaction with shale gas exploration has made important progress.

The basic geological survey carried out has provided strong geoscience support for the construction of key metallogenic areas, important economic zones, major problem areas, and engineering construction areas. Some achievements made in the province and in Tibet have filled the blank areas of regional geological surveys. In the province, the regional tectonic frameworks and geological evolution sequences were re-established, filling a blank area of ​​1:50000 regional geological and mineral geological surveys in the province. More than 1,000 mineral deposits (points) were inspected, and more than 900 geochemical exploration anomalies were circled. There are more than 200 magnetic anomalies, more than 200 prospective areas or prediction areas (regions). Outside the province, ultra-large-scale skarn-type metallogenic belts and large-scale sandstone-type copper ore belts have been discovered in Tibet, and 21 metallogenic prospects have been circled. Circles in Xinjiang provide 629 remote sensing anomalies and 17 remote sensing prospecting targets. Copper mineralization was first discovered in the Yingyun diorite body in Kungai Mountain area. The 1:250000 and 1:50000 regional geological surveys were carried out. A major breakthrough was made in the study of late Paleozoic rift pits in the West Kunlun, and new discoveries of iron, copper, lead, zinc, gold, gypsum and other minerals were made. In other places, 10 metallogenic belts were re-divided, and prospects for ore prospecting and prospecting directions in different regions were analyzed.
