01. Automatically turn on in low light conditions
The full-color camera uses the automatic mode by default, and the full-color camera will be turned on automatically according to the environment.
The lower version full-color camera supports automatic start, but cannot be adjusted to the needs of different scenes through sensitivity adjustment. v5.5.4 and above support the soft light sensitivity adjustment function, increase the sensitivity, the sooner the soft light turns on.
Sensitivity adjustment path: web-side-configuration-system-system settings-peripheral configuration-sensitivity (0 ~ 7 adjustable).
At the same time, the brightness of the soft light can also be adjusted on this interface. Selecting the manual mode can set the fixed brightness of the soft light in the range of 0 ~ 100 (default 50%); selecting the automatic mode full color will automatically adjust the brightness, and the brightness value is large It can be set according to the situation (for example: the automatic mode sets the brightness of the warm light to 80%, then the full color adjusts the brightness of the warm light from 0 to 80% according to the environment).
02. Timed opening (IPC)
The previous section introduced the method of automatically turning on the soft light. Since there is an automatic turning on method, the manual turning on method is indispensable. Manual mode can force the soft light to be turned on for a set period of time.
In the old version, you can choose to turn on the soft light at night in the configuration-image-display settings-day and night conversion, but the image is black and white at the same time. The new version can choose to manually set the time period to turn on the soft light in the peripheral configuration, and the image remains in color.

FAQ2, How to turn on the strong light suppression (IPC)
When night falls, street lights and car lights turn on. The direct light makes people unable to look directly. It is also a challenge to the camera. The Hikvision full-color camera has a strong light suppression function. This function is specially developed for scenes to reduce strong light interference and see the details under strong light.
However, many users have recently responded to the full-color IPC when the glare suppression is turned on, but the prompt box below is not found, but now let's take a look at the specific operation.
As shown in the figure above, the prompt mainly involves turning off the functions in WDR, Slow Shutter, and Fog Through. Some of the versions do not have the fog-passing function. Due to the low ambient illumination at night, the full-color camera will let the light in the scene enter by default, resulting in some overexposure when shooting luminous objects. After lowering the gain, the overall brightness of the picture is reduced, the overexposure of the light is significantly improved, and the haze caused by the light is reduced.
