A large-scale biogas tank construction project, based on an innovative biogas technology developed by Fu Fangzhong, a renowned scientific and technological expert from Yiyang City, has recently completed land expropriation and other preparatory work in Surabaya, Jiangsu Province. This project, approved by the National Development and Reform Commission, aims to convert biogas into high-quality fuel gas for automobiles using advanced equipment. The initiative represents a significant step forward in sustainable energy production and waste management.
Fu Fangzhong is the inventor and patent holder of the "New Technology for Zero Residue Slag Biogas Production from Mixed Fermentation of Manure and Straw." He also created the "Three-Phase Internal Recycling Digester," a system known for its efficient decomposition of raw materials, high gas yield, and user-friendly design. Currently, he serves as a researcher at the Solid Waste and Wastewater Treatment Institute of Beijing Zhongtian Environmental Protection Science and Technology Research Institute. Recently, his team signed a three-party agreement with a Jiangsu-based technology company to jointly develop and apply a new "Anaerobic System Full-Gasification Straw Biogas Biostrain Training Method" based on this advanced biogas technology. They have also filed for utility model patents to accelerate the commercialization and sharing of these innovations.
According to reports, biogas typically contains over 60% methane, while automotive natural gas requires more than 90% methane content. To meet these standards, the Jiangsu Shushui Biogas Tank Car Gas Production Project will introduce state-of-the-art foreign equipment to purify the biogas and remove impurities. Once fully operational, the project is expected to produce between 30,000 to 40,000 cubic meters of methane daily, which can be further refined into over 20,000 cubic meters of natural gas per day. The economic and environmental benefits are expected to be substantial, offering a promising solution for renewable energy and waste-to-energy conversion.
