Bulbous plants: those who are metamorphosed in the underground. According to its abnormal shape, it is divided into the following five categories.

1: bulbs, underground stalks are scaly. The outer skin is called a leather bulb, such as daffodils, tulips, and red tulips. The outside of the scales is covered with a skinless bulb, such as a lily.

2: bulbs. The underground stem is spherical or oblate, with a leathery outer surface. Such as gladiolus, Xiang Xuelan and so on.

3: roots and stems. The underground stems are root-shaped and have obvious knots on them. The sprouts are born at the top of the branches, such as canna, lotus, water lily, and jade.

4: Tuber. The underground stems are irregular blocks or strips, such as calla, cyclamen, gloxin, and tuberose.

5: The root class. The main root of the underground is massive and the roots are born from the end of the root, such as dahlia.

Summer management method for bulbs:

After the summer, some flower bulbs such as irises, tulips, and fragrant scented flowers in the spring will enter a dormant state. At this time, they must be excavated from the soil, and the residual flowers on the ground part will be cut off, leaving only the bulbs. A small amount of soil, dried it, and put it in a cloth bag a few days later, hanging in the air to prevent rodents. Although the summer season is hot and humid in most parts of China, this method does not make the bulbs rotten and moldy.

Some bulbs are rich in starch and sugar. If left in the soil in the summer, some underground pests will take the opportunity to empty them, so they will not get the bulbs. In the autumn, the ball is divided into balls, and according to the size of the ball, it is classified into the soil according to the grade. Some balls can be up to three or four centimeters in diameter, and there is hope for flowering in the spring of the second year.
