Recently, the team of Prof. Chen Guanying (a member of the Key Laboratory of Microsystem and Microstructure Manufacturing of the Ministry of Education) of the School of Chemical and Chemical Science at Harbin Institute of Technology published the title of "Dye Sensitive" at the Chemical Society Reviews organized by the Royal Society of Chemistry. A Tutorial Review of Dye-sensitized lanthanide-doped upconversion nanoparticles. The Review of the Chemical Society is one of the most influential and authoritative academic journals in the chemical and chemical sciences. Its latest release in 2017 was 38.618. The Tutorial Review paper aims to guide the education and commentary on the frontier emerging hot research fields in the world, with a view to attracting the attention and research of more global researchers. The first author of this thesis is Wang Xindong, a doctoral student of HIT, and Professor Chen Guanying is the only correspondence author. HIT is the first and only communication unit.

The paper is based on the research work of Professor Chen Guanying in this field in recent years. The key point is to solve the problem of narrow absorption range and weak absorption ability of lanthanide metal doped up-conversion nanocrystals. The sensitization of dyes has been reviewed internationally in recent years. Advances in the field of lanthanide metal doped upconversion luminescence nanocrystals, in-depth theoretical studies on energy transfer mechanisms of Förster and Dexter at the organic-inorganic interface of dyes and nanocrystals, and an overview of lanthanide metals in nuclear and core-shell structures The energy transfer process of doped nanocrystals in dye sensitization finally summarizes and prospects the application of dye-sensitized nanocrystals in photovoltaic cells, security anti-counterfeiting, near infrared card, bioimaging, and optogenetics. This work lays a foundation for the study of dye-sensitized lanthanide-based metal doped nanocrystals and leads the development direction of the discipline.
