Nissan test body is not dirty concept

Nissan recently revealed that a prototype vehicle using Ultra-Ever Dry material is being tested. This material will make the car "unstained."

Ultra-Ever Dry is a super-hydrophobic material that caused a sensation when it was released early last year. It uses nanotechnology to form an air layer on the surface of the object, and all water-based or oil-based liquids cannot be attached to it, including water, mud, oil and even paint. Its effect can be described almost as "unscientific."

From the pictures released by Nissan, we can see the power of Ultra-Ever Dry. After the vehicle had passed through the mud, the half with the Ultra-Ever Dry coating was almost new, and the contrast was quite obvious. However, Nissan does not consider pushing it onto the market for the time being. The company stated that this kind of paint is more likely to become an after-sales option.

Ultra-Ever Dry coating is actually not expensive, a litre of about 50 US dollars. Think of the cost of car maintenance, maybe a one-time investment will save more money.
