It ensures that fuel is not released into the cylinder until the counting process begins. A solenoid-operated oil deflector is typically used to block or redirect the fuel flow. When the counter starts, the deflector moves away, allowing fuel to be collected in the tank. Once the preset number of injections is reached, the deflector returns to its original position, stopping the fuel flow and completing the test. By combining these components, a fuel injection pump test bench provides an accurate and reliable method for evaluating and maintaining the performance of fuel injection systems.
