Flange
housing also known as Flange Bearing Housing.
Flange
housing/ Flange bearing housing is a commonly used
blocks in manufacturing, mining, and construction industries for mounting
self-aligning ball or spherical roller bearings with adapter sleeves or
cylindrical bores. They are designed for use on conveyors, dryers, road
building equipment, run-out tables, fans, crushers, hammer mills, and many
other high-precision, heavy duty applications.

In April 2007, the National Development and Reform Commission issued the non-ferrous metal industry standard YS/T619-2007 titled "Classification and Brand Nomenclature of Chemical Alumina." According to this standard, chemical alumina refers to any form of aluminum oxide other than that used for producing aluminum ingots. It includes substances such as aluminum hydroxide and various aluminum compounds.
The standard categorizes chemical alumina into five main types: 1) aluminum hydroxide series, 2) special alumina series, 3) pseudo-boehmite series, 4) zeolite series, and 5) calcium aluminate cement series. Activated alumina is classified under the second category, while boehmite, a raw material used in activated alumina production, is listed under the third group for further research, development, and application.
Activated alumina balls are porous, highly dispersed solid materials with a large specific surface area. Their microporous structure gives them unique properties ideal for catalytic applications, including strong adsorption capabilities, surface acidity, and thermal stability. These characteristics make activated alumina widely used in industrial processes as a desiccant, adsorbent, catalyst, and catalyst support.
As a desiccant, activated alumina is particularly effective due to its high surface area, typically ranging from 250 to 350 m²/g. Spherical particles with diameters of 3–5 mm or 6–8 mm are commonly used in various drying applications. The material can absorb significant amounts of water vapor, and once saturated, it can be regenerated by drying to remove the physically adsorbed moisture.
Beyond air drying, activated alumina is also used to remove moisture from gases and organic liquids, such as in alcohol dehydration. Additionally, it serves as an effective adsorbent for removing contaminants like ammonia, hydrogen fluoride, and arsenic. It has been widely adopted as a high-quality defluoridation agent for high-fluoride drinking water and as an arsenic removal agent in acid industries.
In catalytic applications, activated alumina is used for olefin isomerization, hydrogen exchange reactions (hydrogenation and dehydrogenation), and sulfur recovery from sour gas in refining units. Composite catalysts made from activated alumina combined with metals or metal oxides are also extensively used across different sectors.
The material’s high surface area, appropriate pore volume and diameter, excellent mechanical strength, and heat resistance make it an ideal support for catalysts. Catalysts based on activated alumina, such as Co-Mo/γ-Al₂O₃ and Ni-W/γ-Al₂O₃, are widely used in heavy oil and residue hydrodesulfurization, especially in automobile exhaust treatment systems. These catalysts often combine activated alumina as a carrier with noble metals to efficiently oxidize hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, and nitrogen oxides.
By 2010, China's activated alumina production capacity reached 2.291 million tons, while global production stood at 5.679 million tons. This growth reflects the increasing demand for activated alumina in multiple industrial applications.
