**Abstract**
This week, the silicon materials market remained relatively stable. The price of domestic polysilicon has not changed significantly compared to the start of the week, with both first and second-tier materials showing minimal fluctuations. In terms of imported materials, the U.S. dollar exchange rate declined this week, which had a slight downward impact on the prices of imported silicon materials, with a decrease of approximately 0.05%.
Although the photovoltaic industry is entering its traditional off-season, the market has shown signs of weakness in recent weeks. Despite this, the silicon material market has maintained relatively high pricing. Although high-end resources are not selling as quickly as usual, some downstream companies are still maintaining high-level procurement due to urgent project needs. Industry participants remain optimistic about future demand, citing expected growth in domestic market demand next year and increased restrictions on foreign silicon materials, which could lead to potential price increases in the coming months.
The crystalline silicon wafer market remained firm this week. Prices for single-crystal 125mm wafers from both first- and second-tier manufacturers showed little change at the beginning and end of the week. Similarly, the prices of single-crystal 156mm wafers remained stable across all levels. Polycrystalline 156mm wafers also saw no significant changes in pricing, with first-tier manufacturers maintaining their quotes and second-tier ones showing only minor fluctuations. Currently, polycrystalline high-efficiency wafers are still in high demand, with strong trading activity and several companies reporting increased orders. Looking ahead, production schedules are expected to continue through January and February next year.
For monocrystalline wafers, demand is more concentrated in overseas markets, leading to fewer orders near the end of the year. As a result, sales have dropped, and prices have weakened slightly.
The domestic solar cell market remained stable this week, with shipment volumes remaining strong. Prices for single-crystal 125mm cells showed no major changes over the weekend and into the week, while second-tier manufacturers also reported stable pricing. Single-crystal 156mm cells from first- and second-tier manufacturers were unchanged, and polycrystalline 156mm cells also remained steady. High-efficiency polycrystalline cells continued to be in strong demand, with many companies still working to fulfill orders. Some firms are actively seeking foundry partners to meet demand.
In contrast, monocrystalline cell production remains constrained, with weaker order volumes. However, companies with integrated downstream facilities can still consume monocrystalline cells. Looking ahead, many companies expect battery orders to slow down in mid-January, with supporting enterprises also taking early holidays, leading to reduced operations in the sector.
The domestic module market saw a slight weakening this week, with prices remaining stable. First-tier manufacturers reported stable pricing for single-line 72x125 (205W) modules, while second-tier companies also saw no changes. Prices for single-crystal 60x156 (260W) and polycrystalline 60x156 (250W) modules remained largely unchanged. Market demand was cautious, with polycrystalline modules being more popular than single-crystal ones due to cost and performance considerations.
Some companies still have full-time orders before the end of the year, but new orders are still pending. Negotiations for late-year orders focus mainly on price and payment terms, with cash-on-delivery being the preferred method.
